I was never the same after this morbid scene from the t.v. miniseries adaptation of ‘Salem’s Lot. The Exorcist was lurking in wait around the corner for me. I reiterate; I was never the same. In fact, I wanted more. Lots more.

  1. I recall being horrified by The Hand around that time. I don’t even recall the premise, just that a disembodied hand kept coming after some guy. Struck off in a trucking accident or something…

    It was that or the glowing doll eyes in a hidden room filled with laughter. Can’t even begin to tell you which movie that was, but I loved how it made me feel.

    Of course, I was watching the Universal monsters by the time I was five, so…

    (I had “Famous Monsters Speak” on vinyl at around the same age.)
