While I continue to promote Revolution Calling, I am finishing my 17th horror story since last September and we’ll see what fate has in store for all of them. I have also been working in and out on my next novel, which TJ and I brainstormed together on our honeymoon in the Deep Creek mountains.
The plot has had to change three times already, but the core is there to build from. Inspired by the spectacular autumn colors we were surrounded by on our honeymoon and also the Type O Negative album of the same name, my next book will be titled October Rust.

I like it. Curious as to what tale you will tell this time.

Thank you! I literally looked around the spectacular color of the woods where we were honeymooning, and just blurted it out. Then I remembered the band Type O Negative had an album of the same title, but it fits what I want to create.

Well done my friend, more power to you. I often wish to sit down & become a writer, but I always find something else to create and do, so respect what you are doing💪. I get a sense of affinity when I look at you blog, music genre (rock/metal etc), hitting the gym, horror, creativity drive, I get a sense you probably had long hair in your youth?….but ‘like me’ now have lost it😎. & it just so happens & was reading one of your posts and I am guessing you might have been born in 1970-ish? like me. so maybe that is it, maybe we are children of our time? Anyway, have an awesome day, good luck with your books, and stay blessed my friend🤘✌️. Best, Jay

Thank you for all of those beautiful comments, Jay. Yep, good assumption. I was born in 1970. I had long hair in high school, though it was really thick and didn’t hang as low as I’d wanted. They didn’t call it a mullet back then, but it could be categorized as one. I chopped it off willingly in 1990 and have kept it short ever since. We are absolutely children of our time. Being a writer is what I’ve always wanted. I had incredible time in journalism, was considered A list then. Once you get out, though… You know how it is. Total rebuild. It’s hard, man, everything involved in writing and even fitness, but I do it all for the love of it with the hopes of going A list in all respects again, lol. I have the right woman in my life, another writer, so that helps.

You are welcome Ray! Ah yes, me too, 1970 ….a good year to be born I think, and a few good decades to grow up in with respects to music, fashions, toys etc ; 70’s, 80’s. & 90’s. Yes I remember that hairstyle well, I think many who were growing their hair went through that mullet style along the way, as you say wasn’t a mullet then though. It is good that you are doing what you love, so keep at it man, & more power to you Ray! It sounds like you are doing all the right things for all the right reasons. Best, Jay

And Power to YOU, Jay! You “get it” and I salute your spirit and wherewithal. I have my days that are less successful and I have to kick my own butt when those moments get me down for a moment, but I’m always keeping an eye on the prize. 🙂
