I grew up going to see that circus at Madison Square Garden every year. Heaven for a kid!

Baltimore Civic Center in my town and time, changed names over and over again, but the circus was still the circus. All the times I’ve been to NYC, I’ve never gone to the Garden. Gotta rectify that sometime.

I recall this poster.
I miss the circus. Except for the clowns. Clowns are scary AF. They can feed clowns to the hungry tigers and lions, for all I care.

LMAO!!!!! This was the circus program from 1976 and I used to own it. I had 4 old Ringling Brothers programs from then and the early 80s. I know quite a few people who hate clowns. I don’t expect to see you in line at Terrifier 3, lol

That sounds about right for when I recall seeing the circus for one of the first times.
I don’t know what it is about clowns, but I’ve always hated them.

You’re not alone. I remember meeting a few of them ringside when I was small. They were fun. Of course, I was a little kid then.

This is a great memory for me. I am almost positive that I saw the circus at the Civic Center in 1976.

WILD! I was definitely there, six years old, in awe of Gunther Gabel-Williams.

I worshipped that guy for all the different things he could do. King of the Circus!
