Saw Eddie many times on first base when he played at Yankee Stadium against my beloved Yankees in the early 80’s! Amazing player!!⚾⚾⚾

He was the best, in my eyes, and I got to see him many times as a kid, including the Yanks visiting old Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Epic duels between them back in the 70s and 80s. People forget how much a big rivalry existed between the O’s and Yankees back then, though I got to witness the Sox-Yanks rivalry to the fullest at Fenway a few years ago and I’ll never forget it, lol. Eddie was our hometown hero and the stadium rocked for his every at-bat. The chant, man, the chant… Blessed to see him put out many homers, some for game winners. Definitely an era of legends I’m so happy to have seen on the field with NYY and Baltimore back then. Cheers, Susan!

LMAO, I was there to see Fenway as a baseball fan. It’s mandatory history. However, I purposefully chose a Yankees game so I could see if the rivalry was really as potent as it’s reported. It didn’t disappoint, lol! Enjoy the upcoming season and all rise!

When I lived in Jersey I went to a Def Leppard concert at the Garden State Arts Center. Anyway….I was sitting next to a die hard Red Sox fan. At first we gave each other the stink eye and talked smack back and forth. By the end of the night she admitted to me she had Derek Jeter on her screen saver!😂😂

At the end of his career, Eddie Murray played with the Mets, and he was certainly the among all-time great MLB players.

Yep, and he had a stint with Cleveland in-between. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a charity event with the Orioles playing basketball instead of baseball against a local radio station. Eddie and Cal ruled it out there on the court.
