“The Darkest Side of Jericho,” one of the stories I wrote for my upcoming horror anthology, Behind the Shadows, was based on a real place.
Jericho Covered Bridge in Kingsville, MD, has, for generations, reported to be haunted. Ghosts of hanging Civil War soldiers, runaway slaves and ill-fated lovers, the burnt woman, the creepy little girl. Irresistible fuel inspiring my story.

Roads Lesser Traveled 
Those vampire photos are great. I certainly would freak out if I saw it. The Darkest Side of Jericho sounds like a very intriguing story.

Of course I love a good haunting story. I’ve never seen a covered bridge before. Did you sense anything strange while you were there? Looks like you had fun posing for the photos. 🙂

Nah, just a lot more traffic than I expected for a narrow road with a lot of private property. However, my mother talks about going to Jericho Bridge in her teens all the time during the 1960s. She won’t testify to anything, however, lol.
